October 1937 - Tuesday noon I hit the trail per motor lorry for Nairobi, 200 miles, I am being met about 40 miles outside it; a few vistis to outside missions; the Curia on Sunday 14th, a Praesidium meeting, and back 200 miles to Arusha, next 50 miles to Moshi, next 30 miles to three missions, where I have three meeetings, one at 6.30, one at 11 o'clock, and the 3rd at 4pm. I spend part of the day in a car. Next day back to Arusha, 50 miles; meeting on Monday and Tuesday, motor 200 miles to Nairobi and next day or the day after 200 miles to Kisumu, where I have to meet a new Bishop and start in another Vicariate. . .
